It’s difficult to be completely objective when friends are behind a place, but it’s also interesting to watch an idea grow into something with its own personality.
Cimbru Tapas Bar has that rare combination of being casual and carefully thought through at the same time. The food is made for sharing, discovering and ordering “just one more”, the atmosphere feels natural and unpretentious, and there’s a clear attention to ingredients and detail behind what seems effortless on the surface.
What I appreciate most is that the place has character. It doesn’t try too hard to impress — it simply knows what it wants to be and does it well.
Friendship may have brought me through the door, but the experience is what keeps bringing me back.
