A renowned Hungarian pear spirit produced by the Zwack Unicum company, often colloquially referred to as a pálinka but technically classified as a spirit drink due to the addition of honey or sugar and flavorings. It is crafted from fermented Williams pears and pear distillate, enhanced with Swiss Williams pear essence, and often aged on a bed of fruit ("ágyas") to develop its intense aroma and smooth, fruity character.
